WordStream Alternatives in 2026: What Replaced WordStream Advisor

By the AdFlint research team · Compiled from official documentation, current pricing pages, and verified user reviews (methodology below) · Published October 12, 2026 · Updated October 12, 2026

TL;DR

  • WordStream Advisor, the $49/mo self-serve software, can no longer be bought. Its old product page is still online, but on October 12, 2026 it was set to noindex and both Buy Now buttons linked to example.com. WordStream's pricing URL now opens a consultation form for LocaliQ's managed services.
  • Closest like-for-like replacement: Adzooma, which has a free plan and connects Google, Microsoft and Meta, the same platforms Advisor covered. Best Google Ads optimizer: Opteo, from $129/mo.
  • If you want the campaigns run for you rather than a list of fixes: AdFlint (our product, disclosed below), from $40/mo for up to $1,000/mo in ad spend. It runs Google and Meta and does not run Microsoft Ads.
  • If you want people instead of software: LocaliQ, which owns WordStream, publishes no prices. Its terms bundle its own fees into the budget you pay it, and leaving before the contract term ends means paying out the term or paying 50% of what is left to stop at once. Read them before you sign.

First, what you are replacing. WordStream sold two things small businesses remember: WordStream Advisor, a self-serve tool that promised progress on Google, Facebook, Instagram and Microsoft Ads 'in as little as 20 minutes per week', and the free Google Ads Performance Grader. In 2026 only the free tools are left. The software has no working checkout, WordStream's own About page says 'WordStream is now WordStream by LocaliQ', and paid help now means LocaliQ's managed services. The evidence, with links, is in the first section below.

That leaves three kinds of former WordStream user, and each needs a different replacement. If you paid for Advisor, you want software that hands you a short weekly list of fixes (Adzooma, Opteo, Optmyzr). If you only ran the Grader, Google's own free tools may already cover it. If you never wanted to do the work at all, the choice is between a done-for-you product (AdFlint) and a managed service (LocaliQ). If you are weighing us against WordStream directly, our AdFlint vs WordStream comparison goes deeper; for the wider field, see our roundup of PPC software for small business.

One disclosure before the list: AdFlint is our product. It is labeled below, it is ranked third, and we say by name where each competitor beats it. Every price on this page comes from the vendor's own page as we read it on October 12, 2026. Every review quote is verbatim from a public review platform, and each one links to the page we took it from.

What happened to WordStream Advisor?

WordStream Advisor was WordStream's self-serve software. Its own product page calls it a 'cross-platform workflow wizard' for Google, Facebook, Instagram and Microsoft Ads, sold on a '20-Minute Work Week', and the page is still online at wordstream.com/wordstream-advisor with a price of $49/month. When we read the raw HTML on October 12, 2026, though, the page carried a robots tag of 'noindex, nofollow', and both of its Buy Now buttons linked to www.example.com. That is a placeholder domain, not a checkout. The Wayback Machine's capture from July 11, 2026 shows the same two example.com links.

The rest of the site points to LocaliQ. WordStream's main menu lists Blog, Free Tools, Resources, Solutions and About Us, with no software product. Wayback Machine captures from January 2023 and November 2024 show wordstream.com/pricing redirecting to the marketing-services page. Today the pricing URL serves a page titled 'Marketing Services' that opens with 'Ready to talk to an expert?' and a consultation form. WordStream's About page says 'WordStream is now WordStream by LocaliQ', and LocaliQ's own terms define LocaliQ as including 'Wordstream Inc.'

The free tools are what survives. The Google Ads Performance Grader still asks you to 'enter your email, pick your account type, and sign in with Google', then grades the account, and the Facebook Ads Grader and Free Keyword Tool are still live. The pages describing the Grader don't agree with each other: WordStream's Grader page says 'four key areas', its homepage says 'nine key areas', and LocaliQ's copy of the page says '10 key metrics'. On the Grader page, the answer to 'What if my grade isn’t great?' links to LocaliQ's marketing services.

We could not find an official announcement or end date for Advisor on either company's site. The closest thing is one customer's account. A UK agency reviewer on Trustpilot wrote in November 2021 that, after an email and calls from WordStream, the message was that it was 'putting Wordstream to rest' and the reviewer 'had to transfer to LocaliQ which was not suitable for my needs'. That is one person's report, not a company statement. We also could not confirm whether any legacy Advisor subscribers still have access.

If WordStream sends you to LocaliQ, read these clauses first

LocaliQ does not publish prices. It does publish two contracts, the Marketing Services Terms (last modified November 18, 2025) and the Media Product Terms (last updated June 4, 2025), and they answer most of the questions a sales call won't. We read both on October 12, 2026. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. The table below is what the documents say.

Ownership is the other thing to settle before you sign. For Social Ads, the terms say you 'must provide LocaliQ access to your Facebook account' and make LocaliQ an administrator. Google Local Services Ads run under LocaliQ's master account and billing. The public terms do not say who keeps a search campaign's Google Ads account when you leave, so ask. Our guide on who owns your ad account explains why it matters, and what a PPC retainer actually buys covers the fee questions. If you are comparing a managed service with software, see done-for-you ad management vs a PPC agency.

ClauseWhat LocaliQ's terms sayWhat to ask for
Campaign BudgetPaid to LocaliQ, not to Google. It is used to 'purchase clicks and/or leads, impressions, listings and/or other media, license our platform, manage and optimize your campaign', plus call tracking, reporting and customer service. Set-up fees and any service fees for premium services are charged on topThe share that reaches the ad platforms, and every extra fee, in writing
KeywordsLocaliQ has 'discretion to select' Search Ads keywords and 'shall be under no obligation to disclose' the ones it choosesA keyword and search-terms report every cycle
Lead sourcesLeads 'may be acquired by advertising placement with Publishers and/or purchased from a lead aggregator'; purchased leads are sold per lead and provided 'as is'Which leads came from ads and which were bought
Billing cycleA cycle lasts until at least 98% of the budget is used, 'a twenty eight (28) - thirty two (32) day period'; the next cycle can be charged once 75% is spentHow many cycles a year to expect
Early exitContracts run for an Initial Term, then 'automatically renew for additional 30 days periods'. Before the Initial Term ends, you either keep paying until it completes or cancel immediately for '50% of any unpaid portion'The Initial Term length before you sign
PausesA pause you request that lasts more than 30 days needs 'an additional Campaign set-up Fee to restart'The set-up fee amount

LocaliQ's own cancellation example, worked through

  • LocaliQ's terms use this hypothetical: a Search Ad campaign with a 12-cycle Initial Term at $2,000 per cycle, cancelled after 9 cycles. The $2,000 is their illustration, not a published price.
  • Unpaid portion: (12 - 9) cycles x $2,000 = $6,000.
  • Cancellation fee to stop immediately: 50% x $6,000 = $3,000, which matches the figure in the terms. The alternative is to keep paying the remaining $6,000 until the term ends.
  • To check your own quote: (cycles in the Initial Term - cycles completed) x your cycle payment x 0.5.
  • If you cancel after the Initial Term instead, the terms say it takes effect after one more full cycle, which you still pay for.

What each option costs on a $1,000-a-month ad budget

WordStream pitched Advisor at busy small-business marketers, so the table prices each option at $1,000 a month in ad spend, using the vendor's own page as of October 12, 2026. In every row except LocaliQ, the fee is charged on top of your ad spend. LocaliQ's Campaign Budget covers media and its own services together, and its terms allow set-up and service fees on top.

On cost alone, the free options win, and that includes beating us. At higher spend the order changes again: Opteo's $129 Basic plan covers up to $25,000 a month in ad spend, while AdFlint's self-serve plans step up with spend ($119/mo up to $10,000, $219/mo up to $20,000). Above $10,000 a month, Opteo is the cheaper subscription. To size the ad budget itself, the Google Ads budget calculator works backward from the number of leads you need.

OptionMonthly fee at $1,000/mo ad spendWhat the fee buys
Google Ads free tools$0Recommendations and an optimization score; you do the work
Adzooma Free or Silver$0 or $69Recommendations across Google, Microsoft and Meta; you apply them
AdFlint Launch$40Google and Meta campaigns written, launched and optimized for you
Opteo Basic$129Google Ads recommendations, alerts and reports; you apply them
Optmyzr Essentials (lowest spend tier)$299 billed monthly, or $209/mo billed annuallyA full PPC toolkit across six ad platforms; you run it
LocaliQNot publishedA managed team; most of its fee sits inside the Campaign Budget

Break-even on gross margin, not revenue

  • Extra customers needed each month = monthly fee / gross profit per new customer.
  • Example business: an average job of $400 at a 40% gross margin, so each new job leaves $400 x 0.40 = $160 of gross profit.
  • AdFlint Launch: $40 / $160 = 0.25 extra jobs a month. Adzooma Silver: $69 / $160 = 0.43. Opteo Basic: $129 / $160 = 0.81. Optmyzr Essentials billed monthly: $299 / $160 = 1.87.
  • The common mistake is dividing by revenue. $129 / $400 = 0.32 jobs looks cheap, but you only keep $160 of each $400 job, so the real bar is 0.81 jobs, more than twice as high.
  • This leaves out the ad spend and your own time. To run it with your numbers, use the ad management cost calculator.

Adzooma

Closest like-for-like: free plan, same platforms as Advisor

Adzooma is the nearest thing on this list to what WordStream Advisor was for a small business. It is one dashboard that connects Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta, audits them, and gives you a list of recommended fixes to apply in a couple of clicks. Its homepage promises you can 'Compare Google, Meta, and Microsoft performance' in one dashboard, and every plan, including the free one, connects unlimited ad accounts. Those are the platforms Advisor's own page lists: Google, Facebook, Instagram and Microsoft Ads.

Pricing is published and plain. The Free plan is $0 and includes monthly reports, a limited number of 'opportunities' (its word for recommendations), 3 alerts and 1 seat. Silver is $69/mo or $700/yr and adds weekly reports, every recommendation, 10 alerts and unlimited seats. Gold is $179/mo or $1,800/yr with daily reports and unlimited alerts. The homepage says 'No credit card required'. That is Adzooma's named advantage over AdFlint: you can start for nothing, and it covers Microsoft Ads, which we do not.

The catch is that it is a recommendations layer. You still decide what to apply, and the free plan only shows some of the recommendations. On Trustpilot, Adzooma averaged 3.1 out of 5 across 184 reviews when we checked. A one-star reviewer in March 2026 wrote that it 'primarily aggregates recommendations that are already available for free within Google and Microsoft Ads.' That criticism applies to most tools on this page, and it suggests a fair test: open Google's own Recommendations page first, then see what Adzooma adds.

Pros

  • + Free plan with unlimited connected ad accounts and no card required
  • + Covers Google, Microsoft and Meta, the platforms Advisor supported
  • + Paid tiers are published: $69/mo and $179/mo
  • + Adds SEO and website-metrics reports alongside the ad recommendations

Cons

  • − You still review and apply every recommendation yourself
  • − The free plan shows a limited set of recommendations and reports monthly
  • − Middling Trustpilot average: 3.1/5 across 184 reviews
  • − Overlaps with the free native recommendations in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads

Ideal for

  • Former Advisor users who ran Google, Microsoft and Meta together
  • Grader users who want an ongoing free audit instead of a one-off report
  • Owners willing to spend a little time each week applying fixes

Pricing: Free $0 (limited recommendations, monthly reports, 3 alerts, 1 seat); Silver $69/mo or $700/yr; Gold $179/mo or $1,800/yr; enterprise pricing on request. Unlimited connected ad accounts on every plan; the homepage states no credit card is required. Checked on adzooma.com/pricing and adzooma.com, October 12, 2026.

“Great that it is free and can be used as an assessment tool at the least.”

Opteo

Best Google Ads optimizer for hands-on owners

If what you liked about WordStream Advisor was a short weekly list of Google Ads fixes you could approve in one sitting, Opteo is the closest modern version of that routine. Its homepage says it 'continuously monitors Google Ads accounts for statistically significant patterns' and suggests improvements 'that can be pushed live to your Google Ads account in a few seconds'. It also includes budget tracking, alerts and branded reports.

Pricing on its own page: Basic is $129/mo for 10 accounts and up to $25,000 a month in ad spend. Professional is $249/mo, Agency $499/mo, and Enterprise is custom. The homepage offers a 14-day free trial, and the pricing FAQ promises to refund your most recent invoice if you're dissatisfied. Opteo's named advantages over AdFlint are its track record (114 reviews averaging 4.9 out of 5 on Software Advice) and, above $10,000 a month in ad spend, a lower price than our self-serve plans for the same spend.

The limits for a WordStream switcher: Opteo's main site and pricing page describe Google Ads features only. A separate early-access page describes 'a brand new Opteo' with Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn support and marks those features 'Available Now' for early-access users, but you have to request access, and we could not confirm when it opens to everyone or what it costs. Its published features improve, monitor and report on campaigns you already run; none of them builds a campaign from scratch. One Software Advice reviewer put the small-business problem bluntly in 2017: 'Not for small accounts, as there's not enough data to optimize.' On a $1,000 monthly budget, the $129 fee adds 12.9% on top of your ad spend.

Pros

  • + Approve-or-dismiss recommendations, close to Advisor's weekly routine
  • + 114 verified reviews averaging 4.9/5 on Software Advice
  • + Basic covers up to $25,000/mo in ad spend and 10 accounts
  • + 14-day free trial, and it refunds your most recent invoice if you're unhappy

Cons

  • − The main product is Google Ads only; Meta and Microsoft support is limited to an early-access version
  • − $129/mo adds 12.9% on top of a $1,000/mo ad budget
  • − Needs enough account data to find patterns; small accounts benefit less
  • − Its published features improve existing campaigns; none builds one from scratch

Ideal for

  • Google-first owners who want to stay hands-on
  • Accounts spending enough for recommendations to have data behind them
  • Freelancers and small agencies managing several Google Ads accounts

Pricing: Basic $129/mo (10 accounts, up to $25,000/mo ad spend), Professional $249/mo (25 accounts, $100,000), Agency $499/mo (75 accounts, $250,000), Enterprise custom. 14-day free trial; two-month discount for annual billing on request. Checked on opteo.com/pricing and opteo.com, October 12, 2026.

“I also love that the suggestions are based on improving YOUR performance. Google always tries to upsell; that's not the point here.”

AdFlint

Best if you want the campaigns run, not a to-do listOur product — disclosure

AdFlint is our product, so read this entry with that in mind. It answers a different version of the WordStream question. Advisor promised to shrink ad management to 20 minutes a week; AdFlint tries to take that time off your plate. You paste your website and set a budget; it drafts the campaign, launches it and keeps optimizing Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) campaigns in ad accounts you own. Your card pays Google and Meta directly.

Self-serve plans charge a flat monthly fee based on your ad-spend limit. Launch is $40/mo for up to $1,000 a month in ad spend, and the plans go up to $319/mo for up to $30,000, with custom pricing above that. Self-serve plans take 0% of your ad spend. Monthly plans start with a 7-day free trial, which requires a card and starts billing on day 8. Annual plans are billed up front, include two months free and have no trial. Managed, the done-for-you tier, works differently. The pricing page quotes it on a call, and it is billed as a $249/mo floor plus a share of the spend it manages.

Here is where others beat us. AdFlint does not run Microsoft Ads, so if Bing was part of your WordStream setup, Adzooma, Optmyzr or LocaliQ covers it and we do not. Opteo has years of verified reviews; we don't have a meaningful public review base yet, which is why this entry has no quote. Above $10,000 a month in ad spend, Opteo's $129 Basic plan is cheaper than our self-serve plan for the same spend. And if all you wanted from WordStream was the free Grader, you don't need us: Google's optimization score and Adzooma's free plan cost nothing. For more on that trade-off, see AI ad software vs done-for-you management.

Pros

  • + Writes, launches and optimizes Google and Meta campaigns instead of only recommending changes
  • + Ads run in Google and Meta accounts you own
  • + Flat fee with 0% markup on self-serve ad spend; Launch is $40/mo for up to $1,000/mo
  • + 7-day free trial on monthly plans

Cons

  • − Google and Meta only; it does not run Microsoft Ads, which Advisor supported
  • − Newer product with no meaningful public review base yet
  • − A card is required to start the trial, and annual plans have no trial
  • − The Managed tier adds a share of managed spend on top of its $249/mo floor

Ideal for

  • Small businesses with no PPC person who found even 20 minutes a week too much
  • Owners whose budget is split between Google and Meta
  • Ad budgets from a few hundred dollars to about $10,000 a month

Pricing: Launch $40/mo (up to $1,000/mo in ad spend); self-serve plans go up to $319/mo (up to $30,000/mo), custom above that. 0% markup on self-serve ad spend. 7-day free trial on monthly plans (card required); annual plans are billed up front with two months free and no trial. Managed is quoted on a call and billed as a $249/mo floor plus a share of managed spend. Self-serve prices checked on adflint.com/pricing and Managed billing taken from our own plan configuration, October 12, 2026.

Optmyzr

Best for agencies and PPC specialists

At least one agency that left WordStream for Optmyzr explained why on Software Advice (quoted below): WordStream's '20 Minute Work Week wasn't very customizable'. Optmyzr is a deep PPC toolkit with keyword, search-query and ad optimizations, audits, budget pacing, rule-based automation and reporting. Its FAQ lists support for Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Amazon Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Yahoo! Japan Ads, with the Meta and LinkedIn tools included in every plan.

The pricing headline reads 'starting at $209 a month'. That is the annual-billing rate for Essentials at the lowest spend tier. Billed monthly, the same plan is $299/mo, and Premium is $389/mo ($272/mo billed annually). The lowest option on its spend selector is labeled '25K', nothing smaller is offered, and prices rise from there. The 14-day trial requires no credit card. Optmyzr's named advantages over AdFlint: it covers six ad platforms, including Microsoft and Amazon, and you can try it without entering a card.

It is built for practitioners. A business spending $1,000 a month would pay $299/mo, about 30% on top of its ad budget, for depth it may never use. Even happy reviewers mention the learning curve. A March 2026 Software Advice reviewer wrote that 'Some tools can feel overwhelming initially due to the depth of functionality'. Premium also lists an MCP connection for Claude and ChatGPT, which matters if you already manage accounts through an AI assistant.

Pros

  • + Six ad platforms, including Microsoft, Amazon and LinkedIn
  • + Deep optimization, audit, rules and reporting toolkit
  • + 14-day free trial with no credit card
  • + Meta and LinkedIn tools included in every plan

Cons

  • − $299/mo billed monthly at the lowest tier, heavy for a $1,000/mo budget
  • − The lowest spend tier is labeled '25K', so small accounts pay the same entry price as much larger ones
  • − It optimizes and reports; you still set the strategy
  • − Reviewers describe a learning curve

Ideal for

  • Agencies leaving WordStream's 'Advisor for Agencies' plan
  • Accounts big enough to use its depth
  • Advertisers running Microsoft or Amazon alongside Google

Pricing: Essentials $299/mo billed monthly or $209/mo billed annually at the lowest spend tier (labeled 25K); Premium $389/mo or $272/mo billed annually; Enterprise custom; prices rise with ad spend. 14-day free trial, no credit card. Optmyzr for Amazon Ads from $66/mo. Checked on optmyzr.com/pricing, October 12, 2026.

“We felt stagnated with Wordstream - Their 20 Minute Work Week wasn't very customizable and they didn't have as many tools for us to really dig deep into our PPC accounts.”

LocaliQ (WordStream's managed services)

Best if you want people, and accept a contract

LocaliQ is where WordStream sends paying customers now. WordStream's pricing URL opens a LocaliQ consultation form, its About page says 'WordStream is now WordStream by LocaliQ', and LocaliQ's terms define the company as including 'Wordstream Inc.' It is a managed service, not software. LocaliQ's team runs search ads across 'Google, Bing, Yelp, and more', social ads on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat, plus display, Google Local Services Ads, SEO, listings and websites.

LocaliQ's named advantage over AdFlint is people plus breadth. A human team handles channels we don't run, including Bing, Yelp, TikTok, display, Local Services Ads, SEO and listings, all under one budget, and it does the day-to-day work for you. Its Trustpilot page averaged 3.6 out of 5 when we checked. The positive reviews mostly praise named account managers and honest reporting. The most recent critical ones describe upselling, a campaign launched without the client reviewing it, and a balance due after cancelling.

The issue for a small business is what you can't see before signing. No prices are published. The budget you pay LocaliQ covers media and LocaliQ's own services, the public terms don't give the split, and set-up and service fees can come on top. Keywords LocaliQ chooses need not be disclosed to you. Leaving before the Initial Term ends means paying out the term, or paying half of what is left to stop immediately. The section above sets out the clauses and works through LocaliQ's own cancellation example, so get the Initial Term and the media share in writing before you commit.

Pros

  • + A human team does the day-to-day work for you
  • + Covers Google, Bing, Yelp, Meta, Snapchat, display, Local Services Ads, SEO and listings
  • + One vendor and one budget across channels
  • + Positive reviewers credit specific account managers and transparent reporting

Cons

  • − No published prices; quotes come only through a demo or consultation
  • − The Campaign Budget bundles media with fees, and the public terms don't give the split
  • − Keywords LocaliQ chooses need not be disclosed to you
  • − Stopping before the Initial Term ends costs 50% of the unpaid portion, and pauses over 30 days need a new set-up fee

Ideal for

  • Owners who want no involvement and a person to call
  • Local businesses that want listings, SEO and ads from one vendor
  • Budgets large enough that a negotiated contract is worth the effort

Pricing: Not published; quotes come through a demo or consultation. Per LocaliQ's Media Product Terms (last updated June 4, 2025) and Marketing Services Terms (last modified November 18, 2025), both read October 12, 2026: you prepay a recurring Campaign Budget each 28-32 day cycle, plus any set-up or service fees; to stop before the Initial Term ends, you either pay it out or pay 50% of the unpaid portion.

“The team are always open and honest with their reporting, even when a strategy has gone slightly wrong, they are quick to identify and pivot to ensure our spend is working to get the best results.”

How we chose.

We did not use any of these products to write this page, and nothing on it should be read as hands-on testing. Here is what we did on October 12, 2026. We fetched each vendor's own pricing and product pages: wordstream.com, localiq.com and both of LocaliQ's terms documents, opteo.com, optmyzr.com, adzooma.com, Google's Ads Editor page and Google Ads Help, and adflint.com/pricing. Where a page loads its prices with a script (Optmyzr), we read the figures from the page's own price data and checked them against its headline 'starting at $209 a month'.

wordstream.com blocks plain automated requests with HTTP 403, so we read its pages through a text-rendering proxy (r.jina.ai). We confirmed the Advisor page's robots tag and Buy Now links in the raw HTML that proxy returned, and again in the Wayback Machine's July 11, 2026 capture. The history of the pricing redirect comes from Wayback Machine captures.

Review quotes come from Trustpilot and Software Advice. Capterra, G2 and SourceForge blocked automated access this session, so we quoted none of them. Some quotes are old (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021), and one is labeled incentivized by Software Advice; each quote's caption or sentence gives its date. Google's tools carry no quote. AdFlint is our product, so its entry carries no quote either. Its facts come from our live pricing page and our plan configuration, checked the same day.

What we could not confirm: an official end date or announcement for WordStream Advisor; whether legacy Advisor subscribers still have access; whether the Grader's 'Performance Tracker', which WordStream's Grader page says tracks your account 'every 30 days', still runs; any LocaliQ price, minimum budget or Initial Term length; how LocaliQ's Campaign Budget splits between media and fees; and when the multi-platform version of Opteo, currently offered through early access, will be generally available or what it will cost.

  • — Fit for what WordStream Advisor actually did: guided, weekly optimization across Google, Meta and Microsoft for small businesses without a PPC specialist.
  • — Prices from each vendor's own page on October 12, 2026, compared at a small-business spend level ($1,000 a month), not at the enterprise tier.
  • — Contract and exit terms, because the paid path WordStream now offers is a contract with a cancellation fee.
  • — Platform coverage, and Microsoft Ads in particular, since Advisor supported it and several options here (ours included) do not.
  • — Evidence quality: review counts and averages as shown on the day, with old or incentivized reviews labeled as such.
  • — Ranking reflects fit for a former WordStream user. This page carries no affiliate links.

Common questions.

Is WordStream Advisor discontinued?

Effectively, yes, though we found no official announcement. On October 12, 2026 the Advisor product page was still online with a $49/month price, but it was set to noindex and both Buy Now buttons linked to example.com instead of a checkout. WordStream's pricing URL now serves a LocaliQ consultation form, and its About page says 'WordStream is now WordStream by LocaliQ'. We could not confirm whether existing Advisor subscribers still have access.

Is the WordStream Google Ads Grader still free?

Yes. You enter your email, choose your account type and sign in with Google, and it grades the account. WordStream's and LocaliQ's pages describe its scope as four areas, nine areas or ten metrics, depending on the page. If your grade is poor, the next step it suggests is LocaliQ's managed services. Google Ads' built-in optimization score and Adzooma's free plan cover similar ground on an ongoing basis.

How much does LocaliQ cost?

LocaliQ publishes no prices. Its terms say you prepay a recurring Campaign Budget each 28-32 day cycle, which covers media plus LocaliQ's platform, management, call tracking and reporting. Set-up fees and any service fees for premium services come on top. To stop before the Initial Term ends, you either pay it out or pay 50% of the unpaid portion to cancel immediately. In LocaliQ's own example, a 12-cycle term at $2,000 per cycle cancelled after 9 cycles carries a $3,000 fee.

What is the cheapest WordStream alternative?

Google Ads' built-in tools and Adzooma's free plan both cost $0. Among paid options at a $1,000/mo ad budget, AdFlint's Launch plan is $40/mo, Adzooma Silver is $69/mo, Opteo Basic is $129/mo, and Optmyzr starts at $299/mo billed monthly. They don't do the same job, though: AdFlint runs the campaigns, while the others give you recommendations to apply. The ad management cost calculator lets you compare them with your own margins.

Which WordStream alternatives support Microsoft Ads?

Adzooma (Google, Microsoft and Meta), Optmyzr (six platforms including Microsoft and Amazon) and LocaliQ, whose search ads run on Bing as well as Google. Opteo's main product describes Google Ads features only, but its early-access version lists Microsoft support. AdFlint does not run Microsoft Ads.

Should I hire a freelancer instead?

Possibly, if you want a person who works inside your own ad account without a long contract. A freelancer can also do strategy and landing-page work that tools can't. Rates vary widely, and we did not find a published rate we could cite. Our roundup on hiring someone to run Google Ads compares freelancers, agencies and software, and AI ad management software vs a freelance PPC specialist covers the trade-offs.

How does AdFlint compare to WordStream directly?

WordStream today offers a free audit and a route to LocaliQ's managed services. AdFlint is self-serve software that builds and runs Google and Meta campaigns in your own accounts, from $40/mo with a 7-day trial on monthly plans. The full side-by-side is in our AdFlint vs WordStream comparison.
