Quality Score
By the AdFlint research team · Last reviewed July 2026
Google's one-to-ten keyword-level diagnostic combining expected CTR, ad relevance, and landing page experience, reported relative to other advertisers on the same keyword.
It summarizes historical diagnostics; it is not the value used in the live auction. Ad Rank is computed per query from real-time quality signals, your bid, thresholds, context, and expected asset impact. Improving the underlying components generally lowers cost, but the displayed number is a report card. The common misreading is treating it as a dial to optimize directly.
